Conversation With Family About Mental Health and Top 5 List
Mental Health Talk: I started out talking to my mom about mental health issues within my family. There is a large list that I didn't know about of people who have mental diseases in my family. To start off, my mother has OCD and anxiety, while my father has OCD and seasonal depression. My grandma has anxiety, depression, and OCD while my grandpa has OCD. My grandpa on my fathers side also has seasonal depression. My aunts on both my dad and moms side have OCD along with depression. So in conclusion, almost every member of my immediate family has OCD or depression, so it is a possibility that my cousins and I can have a chance of getting it. My top 5 list for myself would include: talking to someone if I ever feel upset about a situation, making sure to realize when obsessive disorders are becoming too extreme, realize the extremity of situations and when to worry about them, find someone who specializes in OCD controlling, and finally find a support group that specializes in helping people with depression.
